Cheryl wore black wedding dress, who eloped earlier this month, she and her husband both wore black, with Cheryl stepping out in a Ralph & Russo, the British couture design duo.
It was Cheryl’s first time wearing a dress by the label, which continues to go from strength to strength.
“This gown was perfect for Cheryl on her special day,” Ralph & Russo designer Tamara Ralph told Vogue.
“The play on fabrics and simple silhouette is what really makes this gown so striking. The sumptuous, rich velvet and duchess silk bodice contrasted with a delicate, sheer silk-chiffon skirt brought an element of fun to the overall look whilst still being romantic. Cheryl’s choice of black for a wedding celebration was so unexpected but I love the fact that she surprised everyone.”
We must always remember that Vera Wang debuted a line of gothic black wedding dresses at her Fall 2012 runway show in New York. The 15-piece collection is an ode to witchcraft featuring dramatic black gowns made of lace, tulle and organza.
The celebrity dress designer, who has created gowns in dove grey and mint in the past, took it a step further in 2012 showing that a black wedding dress may no longer be taboo.
